Project Manager's continuous localization checklist

Continuous localization is the process of modifying live or finished content within the existing active project. This can be achieved by either modifying/replacing the existing source content with an updated version, or by adding new file(s) to the existing project.

  • Verify that the project has an active status using this procedure.

  • When adding new content to existing projects decide whether to reanalyze only the newly uploaded content or all content (including existing content) of the entire project using this guide.

    Note

    The popup that uploads the content as described further down this checklist provides a checkbox to analyze the file only, or the entire project.

  • If new content (or a new source file) is being added to the project choose from the following options:

    Tip

    This can be done without impacting the existing content in the project and will not interrupt the progress or status of the content for those files.

    • To add content via the XTM UI, follow the procedure indicated here.

      Important

      The source files to be added must have a different name than the files that already exist within the project, otherwise, XTM will update the existing file.

    • To add content via the API, use the method described here.

  • To replace or update existing source content, follow the same procedure indicated in the previous item above.
