Resetting cost reports and estimations for continuously localized projects

Tip

This option resets counters/metrics/statistics for the entire project that was triggered. This enables the Project Manager to charge and estimate work done for each change, cancellation, or update in a project.

The reset can be performed each time a project is re-analyzed, an individual file is updated or if pre-processing is completed within a workflow.

  1. From the topmost menu in XTM click on the Configuration tab.

  2. From there click the Data tab just below and to the left.

  3. From the left-hand side system menu click on the Estimates tab.

  4. From the frame that appears click on the Cost Settings tab near the top and to the right.

  5. Scroll down to the Automation of continuous projects section.

  6. Go to the Save history of project metrics, statistics, tracked time and costs when option and check one or any combination of the following options:

    1. The is reanalyzed.

    2. Pre-processing is finished.

      1. Preprocessing is a workflow option that allows the translated content in a language to become the source content in the next project.

For example, it can be used to correct the content in the source language, and use that content as the source content for the other target languages.

    3. Source file with name existing in project is uploaded.

      1. This occurs when a source file is updated during an active project. By default updating an entire project does not reanalyze an entire project but only the individual file.
