Assign access rights to a linguist
Note
If you give a user any role other than Administrator, the Access rights tab will appear. This tab gives you the ability to define what the user can do in these areas.
If the user screen is not open, Edit the user with the Access Rights option/tab.
Tip
All of the remaining steps are optional except Concordance.
Optional - From the Customers section, assign the customers this user has access to. Use this guide as a reference.
Optional - From the Workbench section, define certain functions that this user can perform in the Workbench tool. Use this guide as a reference.
Optional - From the LQA section, define the reporting options available to this user for LQA functions. Use this guide as a reference.
Mandatory - From the Concordance section, define what concordance data can be shown to users in the Workbench tool. Use this guide as a reference.
User Access Rights Field Descriptions For Linguists - Customer Section
Note
If you do not specify a customer, then the user will be available to work on projects for all customers.
When a user has access to all customers, they will also get access to newly created customers.
When some customers have been selected from the list, the user will have access only to the selection.
In such case, the user will not see projects for any newly created customers.
Tip
If a customer does not appear on the selected list then have a user with the Project Manager or the PM Projects & Customers role add the customer.

Segment Locking Rights:

This allows the linguist to unlock or lock segments in XTM Workbench (CAT tool).
Note
Segments can be locked to linguists for a variety of reasons that are configurable in XTM, including locking Translations where 100% ICE matches exist.

User Access Rights Field Descriptions For Linguists - LQA
Note
When you give a user, access rights to show LQA results for an evaluee (i.e a translator or corrector) or evaluator (i.e a reviewer or corrector), an additional LQA section is visible on their Tasks tab. Depending on their rights, the tab displays projects in which the user was involved as an evaluee, as an evaluator, or both sections.
The LQA Options available are:

An evaluee is typically a translator or corrector.

The results (i.e quality measurement) of each evaluee can be seen by editing their user account with the Rating option and then clicking the Quality tab

The settings defined here define what concordance results a linguist can see in XTM Workbench based on customer, project and language rights..
Access to TM metadata & Concordance Option: - Mandatory
Use Global Settings (Default option)
Tip
The global settings are defined under Configuration->Translation-> Workflow and Access-> Linguist general options.
They include all of the options listed below. Checking one of the four options listed below, will override the global settings for this user.
Full access
Access without customer details (Concordance results will not display the originating customer of the TM entry being displayed)
Access without customer or project details (Concordance results will not display the originating customer or project of the TM entry being displayed)
No access (No concordance results are displayed)
Return concordance results in all TM languages - Optional
Default is True, otherwise Concordance results are only returned in the language combinations assigned to this user.
