Exporting project delivery due date reports using project actions

Tip

This is a common report available under project Actions. To open the Actions tab, follow the instructions indicated here.

  • In the Actions drop-down, choose the Project Delivery Dates report. This will generate an offline excel that includes sheets for overdue projects, all projects, with all jobs for every project included.

    Note

Prerequisite: delivery dates need to be added to the project workflow using this procedure for individual projects, or this procedure for batch changes to multiple projects.

Example 1: Determining which jobs are behind schedule
  • Scenario: You need to provide a weekly report to management on any marketing translations that are behind schedule.

    1. Using the Advanced Search, you limit the projects within your project list to only those that have been created under your Marketing customer.

    2. You further pair down your project list by including only projects with a due date in the past month and only projects that are active.

    3. You then select the Actions tab and run the Project Delivery Dates report which generates for you an excel report which includes all projects, due dates, and workflow step status' for each file across all of your projects that you can provide to your management team.

    4. For ease of use and because this is a report you provide weekly, you also decide to save this as a Project Filter so next week you only need to select this filter rather than input the same project parameters each time.

Example 2: Determining which languages are behind schedule
  • Scenario: You need a quick way to understand what projects and languages are overdue across all of your projects.

  • Solution:

By going to the Actions tab and selecting the Project Delivery Dates report, you run an excel report for all projects in your project list. Opening this report, you click on the overdue tab which encompasses all overdue steps across all projects. You can now make actionable steps towards getting your projects back on track.

    1. Click on the Projects tab from the topmost menu.

    2. Click on the Actions tab.

    3. On the far right-hand sight is a Columns dropdown. Open the drop-down and select the following columns:

      1. Min Target Language Status: This will indicate the language(s) furthest away from completion (Checked by default).

      2. Max Target Language Status: This will indicate the language(s) closest to completion (Checked by default).

      3. Min Status: The workflow step that the languages in the Min Target Language Status column are currently in.

      4. Max Status: The workflow step that the languages in the Max Target Language Status column are currently in.

      5. Total WWC: The total weighted word count for all languages in a project (Checked by default).

      6. Remaining WWC: The remaining weighted word count for all languages in a project(Checked by default).

    4. This will give you a quick glance at which languages are the furthest behind.

    5. From the Actions tab, select the Project Delivery Dates report. Run this report and open the overdue tab which encompasses all overdue steps across all projects. You can now make actionable steps towards getting your projects back on track.
