Project template
Project templates are a means of grouping common projects together.
These templates significantly reduce the time to create new projects by prepopulating projects with the preset business requirements and options found in the templates.
Project templates also allow quick modifications based on changing business requirements such as new products being added, or changing release cycles.
Project Templates are optional by default except when data comes from an XTM connector (XTM Connect) or XTM Portal. In this case, they are mandatory.
To create a project template, projects need to be created first and then saved as a template.
When a change is made to a template, that change does not propagate to existing projects. These changes take effect the next time a project is created using the changed template.
